As a part of the football fever, we conduct events that include Football 5’s, Football 7’s, King of the court (3 a side football) and Beach Football, with Football 5’s being one of our most in demand format of the game.

Football 5 is a project to promote and develop five-a-side football in the city. Faster paced and higher scoring than traditional full sided Football, five-a-side football brings aspects of various other popular sports to the football field. It takes the speed of the attack, the use of triangulation and the strategies from hockey, the quick shift across the field after a goal or loss of possession from basketball. Five-a-side football requires the unique blending of individual skills with teamwork. Some of the best footballers in the world today grew up playing five-a-side football, Eric Cantona, Wayne Rooney, Ronaldihno, Kaka and Micheal Essien being amongst them.

Five-a-side football has risen rapidly in popularity largely because every member of the team gets equal playing time, and equal touches on the ball. All players on the field are a part of the play. Because of the speed of the game, and the fact that players are constantly in motion, there are frequent substitutions. A typical player may be rotated on six times or more in one game. There are no permanently assigned positions as there are in full sided Football, giving each team member equal status and equal importance. This helps to develop individual skills along with the sense of teamwork that is essential to all sport.
